Entertainment

Entertainment at the 2011 Petts Wood Christmas Event includes fairground rides and live performances, with more to be announced. The celebrations will start at 12:00 and continue throughout the day culminating in the switching on of the Christmas Lights and a spectacular fireworks display.

Chain

Chain are a flabulous four-piece with a potent mixture of classic rock, both old and new. Wear shoes you can dance in!

Chris Mayer on lead/slide guitar, vocals and bad jokes, Steve Cox on bass guitar and music trivia, Guy Harris on drums, and jo Corteen on rhythm guitar & lead vocals...

The Overtones
The Overtones get together for a bit of fun and to play a range of purely acoustic material. Their lead singer, Ron Silvester, has played with 'Timespan', 'Jokers Wild' and 'Sonix'. Mark Orwell, on guitar/vocals, was with '2nd Nature'; and Bill Lewington, on drums, played in 'Band of Holy Joy' and, with Mark, in '2nd Nature' in the early '90s.

Georgiana Gillis
Georgiana Gillis is a local singer and songwriter who will be singing covers to acoustic guitar. Georgiana also offers private tuition in the BR5 area, specialising in guitar and vocal coaching. Please see www.georgianagillis.co.uk for further information

Virtue Taekwon-Do will give jaw dropping demonstrations throughout the day.

Lisa Dennis, their instructor, earned two medals at the 2011 ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships in New Zealand, Gold for Women's Power Breaking and Silver for Sparring.
